Breweries are seen to be male dominated, but women have become a highlight in the beer crafting industry and revolutionized how this profession is seen today. With the help of organizations such as the Pink Boots Society, women are now able to showcase their crafting talents with the help of other empowering women in the industry.
The Pink Boots Society was created to assist, inspire and encourage women beer industry professionals to advance their careers through education. Their focus is to create a space where women teach and help each other to advance their beer careers, such as raising money for educational scholarships.
Flying Dog Brewery and the Pink Boots Society are excited to announce their second year International Women’s Day celebration! Both have come together to brew a new beer made only by women. This year Flying Dog decided to create an unfiltered kettle sour with additions of lime and cranberry. This low ABV beer will be perfect for the warm weather and for beer lovers everywhere.
To celebrate the new release Flying Dog and the Pink Boots Society will be hosting a release party for Puss N Boots Kettle Sour with Cranberry and Lime. This event will be held on April 20th 2018 at Flying Dog Brewery. Proceeds from the sale of the beer will benefit the Pink Boots Society scholarship fund. Admission is free and all attendees must be 21 and over. (Every woman’s first beer is only $.79!)
Mark the date on your calendar and be ready to celebrate with live music, and vendors! Plus, the owner of Sass Magazine will be hosting a Q&A panel with the female brewers behind this years new release!
