5 Life-Changing Books To Read This Year

life-changing books

When was the last time a book challenged your way of thinking? Life-changing books have the power to affect your health, habits, mindset, and more.

We all love a good fiction book – the mystery, romance, and entertainment we experience is addicting! We’re all guilty of it and darn well proud to admit it! But we’re challenging you to temporarily step away from just one fiction book in 2019 and enter the world of self-development, creativity, and motivation.

Take your pick of one or all of these life-changing books in 2019 and be prepared to experience transformation.

You Are A Badass by Jen Sincero

Simple. This book will change your life and your outlook. Jen is amazing at simplifying and dumbing down how amazing and badass you are. If you’re full of self-doubt or insecurity as you head into the new year, it’s time to purchase this book on Amazon. It’s only $10, so there’s really no excuse here.

The Power of Decision by Raymond Charles Barker

Now, we’ll start off by mentioning this isn’t the easiest read for say, your beach vacation with a cocktail in hand. But, boy oh boy, if you can commit to reading this one, even for a few minutes each day, you’ll look at life in a new way. There are so many affirmation treatments in here for all areas of your life. We suggest writing them down and actually working with them to improve your health, love, prosperity, and creativity. You will feel the impact of this book long after you’re done reading it.

Girl, Wash Your Face by Rachel Hollis

I’m sure you’ve heard of Rachel Hollis. She’s a mom of 4, a wife, a CEO, and an inspiration. Girl, Wash Your Face is a great read for women who experience endless and overwhelming self-deprecating thoughts. Each chapter begins with a lie she used to believe herself. She uses each lie to help women unpack their limiting mindsets and get on the path to self-confidence and happiness.

The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle

Eckhart Tolle writes his guide to spiritual enlightenment, but in a very simple and broken down question-and-answer format. After its release, the book quickly transformed the way people thought and became a bestseller pretty much solely on word of mouth – that’s how impactful this book was on people’s lives. As is written on the back of the book, it’s “one of those rare books with the power to create an experience in readers – one that can radically change their lives for the better.” What do you have to lose?

Miracle Morning by Hal Elrod

This book is a game-changer. Ahem. Life-changer. In fact, it’s so life-changing that we even included it as one of the top recommended resources for making 2019 your best year yet. If you read this book and follow the protocol according to your own preferences, your life will change. I promise! He tells his own story of how he overcame his depression and unsuccessful life and turned himself into a happy and self-fulfilled man all by implementing the morning routine he calls the ‘Miracle Morning.’

And hey, if you can’t decide which book to read, Hal teaches us in the Miracle Morning that if we read ONLY 10 minutes every day, that equates to about eighteen 200-page books.

So…you might as well get all five!

If you’ve never entered the world of self-development reads yet and you’re feeling a little hesitant, that’s totally normal. We suggest starting with You Are A Badass and going from there. All of us have room to improve and increase our happiness. A simple $10 book purchase can help more than you think. Happy reading!

Honorary Mentions:

  • You Are A Badass At Making Money by Jen Sincero – a perfect sequel to her original book mentioned above, but focusing on bringing in those dollar bills!
  • Present Over Perfect by Shauna Niequist – a truly insightful book that allows us to take some of the pressure off of being perfect.
  • Loving What Is by Bryon Katie – a book that goes over four questions. These four questions, when applied to a problem, allow you to see what’s ACTUALLY bothering you from a different light. A light that allows you to solve the problem, or at least not expend all of your energy on it.
